Elizabeth García Gil is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Modern and Contemporary History at the University of Málaga (Spain) and a member of the Seminar for Interdisciplinary Women's Studies (SEIM) and the Institute for Gender and Equality Research (IGIUMA) at the same university. She has won the II AEIHM (Spanish Association of Women's History Research) prize for research articles in Women's History. She has also conducted research stays at the Sorbonne University and the University of Santiago de Compostela. Her main line of research is the History of Women, focusing on the study of their rights and their activity in the credit and trade markets in Spain during the transition from the Old to the New Regime.
